ΘΛΙΒΕΡΕΣ ΥΠΟΓΡΑΦΕΣ ΚΑΙ ΘΛΙΒΕΡΕΣ ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΕΣ ΞΕΠΟΥΛΑΝΕ ΤΗΝ ΕΛΛΑ

Ήταν 8 του Ιουλίου το 1997 όταν Ελληνικά χέρια υπέγραφαν μια επαίσχυντη συμφωνία που «νομιμοποιούσε» τον τουρκικό επεκτατισμό και άνοιγε διάπλατα τις κερκόπορτες στο Αιγαίο.

Η σύνοδος κορυφής του ΝΑΤΟ άρχιζε στη Μαδρίτη. Στο περιθώριό της όμως έμελε να συντελεστεί ένα ακόμη εθνικό έγκλημα.

Οι πρωταγωνιστές γνωστοί. Και τα διαπιστευτήριά τους τα είχαν ήδη καταθέσει όταν ένα χρόνο πριν δια στόματος πρωθυπουργού ευχαριστούσαν την κυβέρνηση των ΗΠΑ για το εθνικό Βατερλώ στα Υμια, που άλλαξε το χρώμα του Αιγαίου.

ΣΗΜΙΤΗΣ - ΠΑΓΚΑΛΟΣ:

Με τα χέρια ακόμα λερωμένα από το αίμα των τριών πιλότων που έπεσαν στα Υμια, πήραν τη διπλωματική πένα και συνυπέγραψαν με τον Ντεμιρέλ και τον Τζέμ, μια κατάπτυστη συμφωνία εθνικής μειοδοσίας, που έμελλε να σημαδέψει το μέλλον του τόπου.

Ήταν τα ίδια χέρια που ξαναλερώθηκαν με την παράδοση του Οτσαλάν στους Τούρκους φονιάδες…

Αυτό το κατάπτυστο ανοσιούργημα, θα παραμείνει γνωστό στην ιστορία ως «ΣΥΜΦΩΝΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΜΑΔΡΙΤΗΣ».

Αλλά και ΚΟΡΥΦΑΙΑ ΕΘΝΙΚΗ ΝΤΡΟΠΗ να το χαρακτηρίσει κανείς, δεν είναι λάθος…

Και το υπέγραψαν οι ΣΗΜΙΤΗΣ – ΠΑΓΚΑΛΟΣ, υπό το άγρυπνο βλέμμα του μεγάλου κηδεμόνα. Της Αμερικανίδας υπουργού εξωτερικών Μαντλίν Ολμπραϊτ.

Η τουρκική εξωτερική πολιτική, για μία ακόμα φορά είχε θριαμβεύσει.

Μετά την επανένταξη της Ελλάδας στο στρατιωτικό σκέλος του ΝΑΤΟ από την κυβέρνηση της ΝΕΑΣ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑΣ, και με δεδομένη τη χαρακτηριστική ασάφεια του πρωτόκολλου επανένταξης το οποίο υιοθετούσε τη ρευστότητα στον επιχειρησιακό έλεγχο του Αιγαίου, οι τούρκοι περίμεναν την κατάλληλη ευκαιρία και τους ενδεδειγμένους Ελληνες «μπουνταλάδες» πολιτικούς, για να πάρουν αυτό που ήθελαν.

Καλλιέργησαν κι ένα καθεστώς έντασης στο Αιγαίο – αντίστοιχο με το σημερινό – το οποίο οδήγησε στη νύχτα των Υμίων, και οι έλληνες πολιτικοί που ήταν έτοιμοι να ενδώσουν δεν άργησαν να φανούν.

Στη «ΣΥΜΦΩΝΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΜΑΔΡΙΤΗΣ» ρητά αναφέρεται ότι:

«Και οι δύο χώρες θα αναλάβουν προσπάθεια να προωθήσουν διμερείς σχέσεις, που θα βασίζονται σε:

• Αμοιβαία δέσμευση για την ειρήνη, την ασφάλεια και τη συνεχή ανάπτυξη σχέσεων καλής γειτονίας.

• Σεβασμό της κυριαρχίας της κάθε χώρας.

• Σεβασμό των Αρχών του Διεθνούς Δικαίου και των Διεθνών Συνθηκών.

• Σεβασμό στα νόμιμα, ζωτικά συμφέροντα και ενδιαφέροντα της κάθε χώρας στο Αιγαίο, τα οποία έχουν μεγάλη σημασία για την ασφάλεια και την εθνική κυριαρχία τους.

• Δέσμευση αποφυγής μονομερών ενεργειών στη βάση του αμοιβαίου σεβασμού και της επιθυμίας, ώστε να αποτραπούν συγκρούσεις οφειλόμενες σε παρεξήγηση, και

• δέσμευση διευθέτησης των διαφορών τους με ειρηνικά μέσα, στη βάση αμοιβαίας συναίνεσης και χωρίς τη χρήση βίας ή την απειλή βίας».

Είναι ακριβώς η τρίτη παράγραφος εκείνης της συμφωνίας, την οποία επικαλείται σήμερα η Τουρκία, για να «νομιμοποιήσει» τις διεκδικήσεις της στο Αιγαίο...

Κι αυτό το έκτρωμα ο ελληνικός τύπος τότε το είχε υποδεχτεί με θριαμβολογίες ως κατόρθωμα της ελληνικής εξωτερικής πολιτικής που «Επέβαλε τα ήρεμα νερά στο Αιγαίο» (ΝΕΑ 9/7/1997)

Το έγκλημα είχε συντελεστεί από τη στιγμή που αναγνωριζόταν η ύπαρξη «ζωτικών συμφερόντων και ενδιαφερόντων της κάθε χώρας στο Αιγαίο»…

Ο δρόμος για την υλοποίηση των σχεδίων της Νέας Τάξης στην περιοχή είχε ήδη ανοίξει…

Ο δρόμος για την αποθράσυνση του Τουρκικού επεκτατισμού είχε ήδη φωτιστεί, και τα αποτελέσματά του τα βιώνουμε σήμερα στο Αιγαίο…

Όπως ανοίγει σταδιακά και ο δρόμος για να έχουμε άσχημα ξεμπερδέματα και στη Θράκη, σύμφωνα με εκτιμήσεις – φόβους Ελλήνων διπλωματών, αφού κατά τις σύντομες συναντήσεις που είχε το τελευταίο διάστημα η κ. Μπακογιάννη με τον ομόλογό της της Τουρκίας κ. Νταβούτογλου, όσο και σε επαφές που είχε ο τελευταίος με παράγοντες της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, επικαλέσθηκε τη Συμφωνία, η οποία βεβαίως ερμηνεύεται με τρόπο που να εξυπηρετεί τις ανάγκες των τουρκικών επιδιώξεων και των μακρόπνοων στρατηγικών τους.

Γιατί???

Γιατί απλά οι Τούρκοι:

ΚΑΙ εξωτερική πολιτική διαθέτουν…

ΚΑΙ μακρόπνοο σχεδιασμό και μεθοδικότητα στις επιδιώξεις τους…

ΚΑΙ εθνικό προσανατολισμό ώστε να μην αφήνουν τίποτε να πηγαίνει χαμένο…

Διαθέτουν δηλαδή τα ΑΥΤΟΝΟΗΤΑ… τα ΣΤΟΙΧΕΙΩΔΗ… τα ΔΕΔΟΜΕΝΑ ακόμη και για τον πρωτοετή φοιτητή των πολιτικών επιστημών….

Διαθέτουν όλα εκείνα που οι δικοί μας λεβεντόκορμοι υποτίμησαν και συνεχίζουν να υποτιμούν, να παραβλέπουν, να υποβαθμίζουν, να μην αντιλαμβάνονται καν, γιατί το μυαλό τους είναι μόνιμα προσανατολισμένο στις προσωπικές φιλοδοξίες, στις ρεμούλες και τα σκάνδαλα.

Το δίδυμο λοιπόν ΣΗΜΙΤΗ – ΠΑΓΚΑΛΟΥ, υπέγραφε το 1997 τη θανατική καταδίκη του Αιγαίου και της Θράκης.

Το δίδυμο ΚΑΡΑΜΑΝΛΗ – ΜΠΑΚΟΓΙΑΝΝΗ, έρχεται σήμερα με τον δεύτερης γενιάς ενδοτισμό που αναγόρευσε σε εναλλακτική εξωτερική πολιτική, να ολοκληρώσει το έγκλημα…

Patras makeshift camp dismantled
Almost 100 officers and riot police took part in an operation on 12 July to clean out and flatten a makeshift Afghans. No one was injured. Authorities said that they discovered 44 minors in the camp. The youngsters were moved to a special centre in northern Greece. At least 15 migrants that did not have official documents were taken into custody at Patras police station. Another 15 that did have the necessary paperwork were moved into a hotel in the city. UNHCR expressed concern over the decision by Greek authorities to raze a makeshift settlement in the western port of Patras that, until recently, had hosted hundreds of would-be migrants seeking an opportunity to sneak onto a ferry to Italy.
The refugees were aware of the authorities' intention to clear the camp and had started abandoning it since April. At the time of Sunday's intervention, about 300 remained and many slipped out just before police moved in. Following the operation, four cars belonging to state organizations were attacked. A cash machine was destroyed and assailants set fire to the door of a local court.

Athens pushes for EU migrant policy
Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis visited this week Madrid and Rome for talks with his Mediterranean counterparts on the promotion of a common European policy for curbing a growing tide of irregular immigrants, proposing repatriation pacts between Brussels and the migrants’ states of origin and transit countries. Karamanlis sentiments were shared by both the Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero and the Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi.
Earlier in the week the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) criticized both Greece and Italy for their treatment of asylum seekers. UNHCR also appealed to Greece to avoid “push-backs” of migrants originating from war zones. In a related development, Deputy Interior Minister Christos Markoyiannakis announced that an aircraft had left Athens with 90 would-be migrants from Pakistan and Afghanistan. Hundreds more migrants are believed to have been deported over the past few months.

Dramatic appeal on migrants by Barrot
European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Justice Jacques Barrot called on European Union member states on 14 July to set irregular immigration high on their political agenda, warning of a “dramatic increase” in the influx of undocumented visitors to the bloc and complaining about a lack of EU solidarity on the issue. “The mass presence of irregular immigrants and refugees can destabilize countries such as Greece if the EU does not display the required solidarity”, Barrot said.
Barrot also referred to the political exploitation of the phenomenon of burgeoning migrant flows which has boosted support for far-right parties in several EU member states, including Greece. One tactic Barrot proposed, to take some of the heat off Mediterranean countries such as Greece, Italy, Spain and Malta, was the “redistribution” of migrants meriting refugee status across member states. Most Scandinavian countries and well-organized states such as Germany are believed to oppose the idea.

Some EU help for migrant problem
European interior and justice ministers meeting in Stockholm on 16 July agreed to boost funding for Greece and other member states guarding the EU’s external border and called on Turkey, as an EU candidate state, to cooperate with the bloc’s efforts to curb irregular immigration. EC’s Vice President Jacques Barrot reportedly agreed to extend the European Refugee Fund to apply to all incoming migrants, not just those meriting asylum. As a result, several million euros in aid will be set aside for Greece and other Mediterranean states to spend on additional reception centers, food and medical supplies and social support for migrants.
On the other hand, the summit reached some discouraging conclusions. The revision of the Dublin Regulation, which stipulates that migrants apply for asylum in the first EU member state they enter and has resulted in disproportionate pressure on Greece and other southern EU states, will not be considered until 2014.

UNHCR launched Awareness Campaign Supported by the Greek Foreign Ministry
launch of the new UNHCR public awareness campaign with the key message “42 million refugees in the world are calling for our attention, they are calling for our help” produced with the support of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took place on 13 July at “Stoa tou Bibliou, packed with media, politicians, diplomats, NGO’s and other members of the civil society. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms Dora Bakoyiannis said in her speech that refugees are not simply seeking a better life. They are looking for safety because they are being persecuted and their lives are threatened.
The Head of UNHCR Office for Greece, Mr Giorgos Tsarbopoulos stated that this campaign can contribute to bring Greek citizens closer to the refugee plight. Addressing the event, Dora Bakoyannis also stressed the necessity of finding a balance between the need to protect Greece's borders and that of protecting the rights of asylum seekers forced to abandon their homes. She also highlighted the need for "European solidarity in practice and not just in words" to countries like Greece, which has been facing a surge in irregular migration.

Benefit Concert by Greek singers Dalaras, Thalassinos and Stokas under UNHCR auspices
UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador George Dalaras and popular Greek singers Pantelis Thalassinos and Babis Stokas join forces for two concerts that will take place on 13 September 2009 in Thessaloniki and on 16 September in Athens. All proceeds raised by the Athens concert will be earmarked in cooperation with the Greek Council for Refugees to cover the urgent needs of refugees residing in Greece particularly the most vulnerable groups such as women and children. The concert is placed under UNHCR auspices.

Smugglers arrested
Police in Magnesia, central Greece, yesterday detained four members of a suspected migrant smuggling ring, two Palestinians and two Syrians, after a snap inspection of a vehicle near the village of Mikrothives. Five Pakistanis hidden in the truck, who were picked up at a border crossing with Turkey, reportedly each paid 3,000 euros to be taken to Athens from Turkey.

Hungary pushed back to Greece 37 Afghan migrants
37 undocumented migrants from Afghanistan are detained in the Border Monitoring Department of Promachonas, following their push back by Hungarian authorities. Another 15 irregular migrants, mostly Somalis and Palestinians, are also under detention in Promachonas.

Migration plays significant role for Turkey’s European perspective
During his speech at the Euro-Mediterranean Business Forum in Athens the leader of the Greek socialist party (PASOK), Giorgos Papandreou, stressed that migration is a key issue for Turkey’s integration course in the EU. According to Mr. Papandreou, a framework of bilateral as well as multilateral cooperation, binding for all parties, is necessary. He also criticized EU policy noting that Europe has shown a “phobic, conservative and confused” face during the last few years.

Hundreds of children victims of trafficking
Victims of trafficking networks have fallen many children of undocumented immigrants who disappear every year from reception centres in Europe. The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) calls for the establishment of specialized centres for young trafficking victims and stressed that unaccompanied minors should be permitted to stay in the country they arrived. Indicatively, 400 out of 1.320 young children who arrived in the Italian reception centre of Lampedusa have disappeared during 2008.
